Alongside his literary career, Risan has been active since 2017 as a self-employed PC builder and technology consultant. He has also worked as a freelance graphic designer and founded a small business venture. He is currently pursuing the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in the Science group at Scholastica Model College, Dhaka.

His responsibilities include coordinating urgent blood and plasma requests, overseeing donor verification, and maintaining a 24/7 emergency response system. He has coordinated hundreds of emergency blood transfusions through this network.

Bangladesh Scouts

From 2022 to 2025, Risan served as a Senior Patrol Leader with Bangladesh Scouts, leading his unit during camps and events. He gained experience in team organisation, task delegation, and operational planning in outdoor settings.

He has additionally led teams for science fair projects throughout his academic career, managing project planning, coordination, and final presentation.

Entrepreneurship
